Every year around this time Hilton Head Island comes alive with ghosts, goblins, and trick-or-treaters. There are lots of local Halloween activities taking place that you are invited to attend no matter what your age. Some, more directed towards children, require a Halloween costume of some type, while others do not. Here’s what’s going on in the area that you won’t want to miss:
Halloween Spooktacular at Coligny
Tuesday, October 27 from 4-7 p.m.
You won’t want to miss this 30-year tradition for Halloween at Coligny. There will be more than 60 shops and restaurants offering trick-or-treating for the kids, carnival games, a spooky photo booth, costume contest, and Cirque fun with Move & Motion starting at 4 p.m. The children’s and family costume contests will take place at 6 p.m.
Annual Pumpkin Patch and Costume Contest
Friday, October 30 from 4-8 p.m.
This annual Halloween event is produced by the Island Rec Center. It is a safe environment where kids can enjoy a Halloween celebration at Shelter Cove Community Park. There will be a costume contest, petting zoo, carnival games, bounce houses and more.
Zombie Mile at The Promenade, Downtown Bluffton
Saturday, October 31 – All day and evening
The Zombie Run will take place in Downtown Bluffton at 3 p.m. at the Promenade. This is a 5k and 1 mile fun run with an after party that includes a costume contest, pumpkin contest, music food,l pub crawl and more.
Trick or Treat Tanger Style
Saturday, October 31 from 1-3 p.m.
Calling all ghosts, goblins, ghouls, princesses and super-heroes! Join us for a Halloween Harvest Festival and Trick-Or-Treat on Saturday. This will be a great afternoon of “frightful fun” games, activities and contests for families, especially children ages 12 and under. Festivities will take place in the courtyard near Shopper Services at Tanger 2 and Trick-Or-Treating will take place at both centers.
Haunted BBQ & Costume Contest at Salty Dog, South Beach Marina
Saturday, October 31 from 4-8 p.m.
The Kid’s costume contest will be held at 7 p.m. Prizes, candy and children’s entertainment and special appearances from Jake the Salty Dog, too!
“Trunk-O-Ween” at Hilton Head Motoring Festival
Saturday, October 31 from 5-7 p.m.
Shelter Cove Town Center has paired up with the HHI Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance to offer this family-friendly experience. Concours Car Club Showcase vehicles will line Towne Centre Drive with their trunks open and full of candy while kids and their families enjoy bounce houses, Cappy the Clown and more!
