Hilton Head Plantation is a gated community located on the north end of Hilton Head Island and encompasses 4,000 acres. With over 4,000 homes and almost 190 home sites, there are many Hilton Head Plantation real estate opportunities. 

Hilton Head Plantation offers all of the amenities you would expect a Hilton Head community to have. These include four golf courses, Country club, community pool and tennis, three clubhouses, three community parks and a private beach area.

There are many secrets located within the plantation too. The Whooping Crane Pond Conservancy and the Cypress Conservancy are just a few.  The Whooping Crane Conservancy is a 127- acre home to a wide variety of birds and animals native to this region. Osprey, owls, hawks and many small birds nest there. Nature trails and a boardwalk meander through preserved forest and wetland. Benches are placed in quiet areas throughout making this a wonderful place to observe nature.  The Cypress Conservancy is much smaller being only 50 acres with large Cypress trees, blooming water plants, marsh deer and a large variety of birds. Walking along the boardwalk built over the wetlands (or swamp) gives you the feeling you are deep in the everglades. It is something that everyone should experience.

Ocean Wood is an oceanfront community located on Hilton Head Island in the North Forest Beach Area.  This small community of 13 homes has its own oceanfront pool and gazebo.  Vacationers and locals agree that this is one special community.  While there are some Hilton Head foreclosures, we haven't seen any currently in Ocean Wood, although there are some great buys.
