Hilton Head Plantation is a gated community located on the north end of Hilton Head Island and encompasses 4,000 acres. With over 4,000 homes and almost 190 home sites, there are many Hilton Head Plantation real estateopportunities.
Hilton Head Plantation offers all of the amenities you would expect a Hilton Head community to have. These include four golf courses, Country club, community pool and tennis, three clubhouses, three community parks and a private beach area.
There are many secrets located within the plantation too. The Whooping Crane Pond Conservancy and the Cypress Conservancy are just a few. The Whooping Crane Conservancy is a 127- acre home to a wide variety of birds and animals native to this region. Osprey, owls, hawks and many small birds nest there. Nature trails and a boardwalk meander through preserved forest and wetland. Benches are placed in quiet areas throughout making this a wonderful place to observe nature. The Cypress Conservancy is much smaller being only 50 acres with large Cypress trees, blooming water plants, marsh deer and a large variety of birds. Walking along the boardwalk built over the wetlands (or swamp) gives you the feeling you are deep in the everglades. It is something that everyone should experience.

As a State Director, I recently had the opportunity to attend SCR’s annual conference in Myrtle Beach. There were over 300 attendees from all around the state including many dignitaries’, politicians and professional speakers. For me, the highlights were the tech demos and speakers.
Nicole Nicolay, aka Nik Nik, kicked off the conference with a great presentation that included snippets of her classes that were offered later in the day. Nicole is from San Francisco and is the founder of Agent Evolution & MyTechOpinion. I attended both of her classes on Facebook and Twitter. She offered her take on how to use Facebook to amp up your real estate business and increase your online presence. This can be accomplished through a “Daily Engagement Plan”. In order for the plan to succeed, it requires keeping up with photos, experiences and events.
Nicole’s Twitter plan was all about “Drip Tweeting” and included insight on some great online software that you can download for free. Two products that received the most attention were Hootsuite and Tweetdeck. There are many online reviews comparing the two and they will assist you in your decision. If you are not a Techie, visit Nicole’s website, AgentEvolution.com and sign up for her well priced programs.
Another great speaker was Terry Weaver, founder and president of Marketing & Sales Institute. His background is in working with developers, managers, and sales executives of planned, luxury communities around oceans, lakes, and rivers, mountains, and golf courses.Terry gave a very motivating speech on real estate sales in a resort market. His emphasis was on selling second homes and rental properties and how the skill sets involved varied from selling residential real estate. If you haven’t seen Terry in action, attend one of his sales seminars for a real treat.
If you are interested in improving your knowledge on internet marketing, mark your calendars for next year’s SCR conference in Greenville SC. If your interest is Resort Real Estate, visit Hilton Head Islands Best Real Estate Website.
