Bicycling- Over 50 miles of public pathways on the Island in addition to 12 miles of hard-packed beach. There are several local companies which provide bike rentals for all ages (www.HiltonHeadBicycle.com) Go Tri Sports has a variety of bicycles and tri-athlete clothing for sale www.GoTriSports.com.
Tennis- In addition to the public courts at Chaplin Park, Cordillo Tennis Center and Hilton Head Island school complex, some residential communities also have private tennis courts for their guests use. There are several other tennis facilities available to the public which also provide instruction:

Adventure Cove Family Fun Center: 843-842-9990 has two courses and an arcade. Located on William Hilton Parkway behind the Carraba's Grille restaurant.
Adventure Golf at Pirates Island: 843-686-4001 has two courses. Located near the Fairfield Inn and the Hilton Head Diner.
Legendary Golf: 843-785-9214 Two Locations- 18 hole course located on Pope Ave. next to the Circle Center shopping center. Second location is near Shoppes on the Parkway (Fresh Market) where they have two courses 843-686-3399.

Shannon Tanner Children's Concerts (APRIL THROUGH AUGUST): Shelter Cove Marina From April 17 through May 31, Shannon Tanner, one of the Lowcountry's most beloved musical artists, will perform one show nightly, Monday through Friday, at 7 p.m. From June 1 through September 4, he will offer two shows nightly, Monday through Friday, at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
HarbourFest: Shelter Cove Marina & Community Park: A popular summer long festival offering live music, special events and more. Fireworks every Tuesday night at dusk during HarbourFest (rain date is on Wednesday). All HarbourFest events are free and open to the public. Bring a blanket or some chairs and enjoy the fun.
Gregg Russell under the Liberty Oak Tree- Harbour Town, Sea Pines
Best known for his evening performances under the old oak tree, Gregg Russell is a song writer, singer, performer, actor and entertainer who has been writing and performing children's music for over 25 years. Fort Walker, Battle of Port Royal, Fort Sherman/Fort Mitchel and Robber's Row are located inside Port Royal Plantation. Access to these sites require a pass and can be arranged through tours with the Coastal Discovery Museum www.coastaldiscovery.org
Indian Shell Ring- Sea Pines Forest Preserve near Lake Joe
It is one of 21 known shell rings in the United States, formed approximately 4000 years ago.
Stoney-Baynard Ruins- Sea Pines Plantation
Constructed circa the early 1800's, you can see the remains of plantation homes and outer buildings.
Mitchelville - off Beach City Rd
The nation's first freedman's village was set up in 1862 by General Ormsby Mitchel to house former slaves. Here residents elected town officials, made their own laws and established SC first compulsory education law.
Fish Haul Plantation- Bay Gall Rd (near Barker Field)
Thomas and Pervical Drayton were two brothers who fought against each other in the Battle of Port Royal. Here you can see the tabby chimney remains of the Drayton family cotton plantation.
Baynard Family Mausoleum- located in the Zion Chapel Cemetery off William Hilton Parkway and Matthews Dr.
he Baynard Family Mausoleum is the oldest structure on Hilton Head Island. The Zion Chapel of Ease was built in 1788 for plattation owners but later destroyed.
